How does consignment work?
We select what we believe our customers want to buy. We take into consideration style, brand, age and condition. We accept or deny based on our best judgment of the market as well as our current inventory needs.
You will receive an invitation from katybird.consignoraccess.com to set up an account through which you will be able to view your inventory, track when it sells and expires and set up automatic payment through SimplePay.
Once you set up SimplePay, your balance will automatically be paid out on the 1st of every month through the system. Payment for balance can be requested any time in between payout periods by contacting Katybird.
Consignors receive 50% of the final sale of their item; 70% for high end designer bags.
Items are subject to markdowns of no more than 50% if necessary to sell the item. This can happen at any time during the consignment period, but is typically done after the item has been with us for 60 days.
Consignors have 10 days from the date of expiration to pick up any unsold items. Remaining pieces will be donated to Jubilee Women’s Center. Tax receipts are available upon request.
Katybird reserves the right to donate items where damage is discovered after the intake process is complete.
All consignments are the legal property of the consignor during the consignment period.
All reasonable care will be taken to protect consigned items, but Katybird is not responsible for loss, theft, or damage of items.
